Beth Rosenberg

photoBeth Rosenberg has been on the faculty of the Public Health Program at Tufts University School of Medicine for 11 years. She is a co-editor of New Solutions: A Journal of Environmental and Occupational Health Policy. She served on the Science Advisory Board of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute for 6 years, where she was instrumental in having silica listed on the TURA Higher Hazard Chemicals List in 2003.

One of her major interests has been designing sustainable production systems that don't harm workers or the environment. Her research involves looking at the social obstacles to sustainable production systems and figuring out ways to overcome them. Recently she has focused on the role of corporate culture, the efficacy of corporate social responsibility programs, and most recently, the effect of green building construction on the health and safety of those who build the buildings. She has a master’s in health law from Boston University and a Sc.D. in Work Environment Policy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
