You may think that there must be better ways to protect our children’s health and the environment from harmful chemicals and products.

You may be actively promoting better policies for chemicals and products in your workplace, organization, state, or nationally.

You may be working to help consumers push for safer, more responsible products. For legislation that will advance the design and use of safer materials, rather than just limit damage. For healthcare facilities to use products and practices that do not harm workers, patients, or the environment. For companies to employ concepts such as green chemistry, design for the environment, and other solutions-based approaches.

If so, we are offering the Sustainability Action Summer Institute for people like you.

The Lowell Center is offering this Summer Institute because we are about much more than research. While we have an international reputation for the quality of our research, we are also deeply committed to ensuring that our research leads to practical applications and system-level solutions -- from improving the design, production, and use of products, to how scientific information and innovative policies can lead to greater protection of health and the environment.

If you are committed to making these changes, we invite you to join us for the first Sustainability Action Summer Institute at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

While the Summer Institute lasts 5 days, we recognize that some people may not be able to stay for the full five days. Therefore you can also register for one, two, three, or four days.

Space for the Summer Institute is limited. Please register now to reserve your seat.
